Is It Banned In Europe? checks ingredient lists against a curated dataset derived from publicly available European Union regulations, primarily Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 (cosmetics) and Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 (food additives). Every flagged ingredient includes a citation to the specific regulation and, where available, the Annex entry number.
This tool provides regulatory information. It does not provide medical advice, health recommendations, product safety assessments, or purchasing guidance. A product containing a flagged ingredient is not necessarily unsafe. A product with no flagged ingredients is not necessarily safe.
